The two ranges of models in the L series are similarly constructed having an appropriately powered motor driving a five step dynamically balanced pulley set giving five speeds to the spindle. The motor is mounted on a hinged motor plate which is sprung loaded to enable fast, easy speed changes and which automatically ensures the correct belt tension. HRM Series bench models feature adjustable head with rack mechanism and no intermediate table.
